You know, I've never really had pimples. Supposedly, my healthy diet is one of the leading contributors to my healthy skin. Sure, I get the occasional pimple or two around my temples, but they are small, and I burst them within a couple of days.

Anyway, my mother gave me some anti-pimple cream some time last year. I said, "but why? I don't get pimples?", and just decided to avoid using it. But towards the end of the year, I decided to start using it everyday — it can't do any harm right? I mean, I don't even have pimples.

Gah! BIG mistake James.

Within a week, I noticed some pimples appearing — lots of little ones. As the weeks went by, they seemed to get worse, and I was having trouble keeping up and bursting them. What was happening? And they were appearing in weird places too, like, on my cheeks and next to my chin, on my forehead, as well as the usual temples.

Rereading the cream, it said "pimple prevention", so it doesn't get rid of them, it just prevents them. It didn't seem to be preventing very well at all.

Spoke to my mum and my sister, and they gave a pretty logical explanation. They reckon that because I started using it, the cream was draining my face of these "invisible pimples", by making them appear. When I burst them, I'm getting all of the yucky pus out of my face.

After a few more weeks of continuing this cream, my face eventually cleared up and went back to normal. Okay, I'm exaggerating. The pimples were never that bad… it was bad for me, but was nothing compared to everybody else. But still, now my face is supposedly completely pimple free, and there aren't any "invisible oil-deposits" on my face anymore.

What's the moral to this story? If it ain't broken, then don't fix it! I didn't have pimples, so I shouldn't have used anti-pimple cream ;D
